Extra Curriculum

At CLMS our extra curricular activities are a vital part of our program. At different times throughout the school year we offerSports clubs, Baking clubs, Music Appreciation, Dance and Yoga. Enrolling your child into these opportunities encourages them to develop confidence, concentration, discipline, appreciation of the arts and gross motor skills. We work with several companies who come to our school and offer guided classes by trained professionals.

French

The French Curriculum focuses on oral communication and vocabulary. Topics covered include: monthly themes to cover classification of vocabulary, numbers, calendar months, days, and weather. The children participate in lessons in small groups during the day and the morning French Circle.

Field Trips

Essential to the Montessori philosophy is the belief that learning takes place everywhere, and that the curious child both observes and interacts in a purposeful way in the classroom and outside the classroom. To further this, CLMS students undertake many age-appropriate experiences off campus. All Toddler and Casa students participate in in-house field trips ranging from dramatic performances to wildlife education classes. Offsite Field trips are usually for Casa students however there are occasions Toddlers also attend.

Cooking Program

This beginning-to-cook program will provide your young chef with delicious experiences each week, while also developing his or her skills and confidence in the kitchen. Ingredients are chosen to expand the culinary horizons of our tot-chefs, encouraging them to use all their senses to explore and experience new foods while they measure, mix and mash.

Summer Camp

Our main goal at CLMS Summer Camp is to ensure that your child is happy and safe. The camp is a nurturing, creative and active environment, in which every child can grow, build self-confidence and make friends. We provide an environment which facilitates natural learning while still having lots of fun. The children are encourage-aged to participate in a variety of activities centered around each week’s theme. Activities include Arts & Crafts, Nature walks, Dance, Music, Science, Sports, Games, Phys. Ed. and Yoga.

Nutrition

Amazing food feeds the growing and learning brain. We are proud to partner with Childrens Choice, a catering company that creates healthy, delicious, high quality food that children love.
The Children’s Choice facility is 100% nut-free, pork-free and shellfish-free. Allergy-free meals are prepared in a separate area by a Professional Chef, and Children’s Choice offers both Halal and vegetarian options.
